I guess that goes for any sibling who follows Lorenzo really. Amy found these hearts that were bent into their shape from old metal rings of wine barrels. How brilliant, right? We were in wine country after all, so it was nice to see the metal rings be repurposed into hearts. The woman who was selling them was originally from Santiago, Chile. Yes, a Chilean. How wondrous the Universe works."

• The Link: "4^th of July weekend, a hippy-happy bus broke down right in front of my house. It was stranded for about 8 hours until someone came to give it some oil and gas. Poor bus. As I peeked from my bedroom window, there it was, a heart. Lorenzo saying, 'Hey, thought I’d just hang out in front of your house! Happy 4^th!'"

• The Link: "On my way to work in the mornings, I always pass these mailboxes but noticed the heart on one of them, like a little reminder, 'Don’t forget to send some love with that letter.'"

• The Link: "This might be one of my favorite hearts yet—they saved me on my long run, the makers of this heart. Longest training run of the season yesterday—20 miles. Marathon is in two weeks. I was pretty scared of this run, as 14, 16 and 18 were all awful at the end. This one was going surprisingly well as I approached mile 18 but we were on an open, hot dirt hiking trail and it was HOT. Just beyond the trail were some houses, and a woman on the porch at one. I thought, "OK, I have to ask her to refill my water bottle or I won't make it 2 miles back." She and her husband make these black walnut pieces, and almost all had hearts -- it was cool! And thanks to their kindness, I made it back and finished the 20 miles feeling good about the run. That would NOT have been the case with no water!! So, a special heart :)"
