Link 54

• The Who: Shana Parkes
• The Where: San Francisco, CA
• The Link: "My view from the rocking chair, out the window, to Townsend Street. Everyday I see this heart in the branches. Sometimes the angular edges glow in afternoon light, and I can spot it right away. And sometimes it takes a subtler stand, like today, when the clouds cover the sun in a promise of rain. At times like this, I have to search a bit before my eyes arrive at the familiar shape. When it finally comes into focus, I realize that I've been holding my breath, like a little ritual of respect. I love that seeing this heart made of branches depends entirely on my vantage, both physically and mentally. One small shift to the left or right, or in and out of active observation, and it's gone. A good micro-lesson in life perspective. Everyday, I sit with Maren and see this heart and think of you, @chilejenn, and the #chainlinkheartproject. And I smile."
